Yes, One More Call for Support — and for Your Personal Engagement

As a nation, we face uncertain and possibly troubled times.

The future of our healthcare system is uncertain.

The status of large numbers of undocumented young immigrants referred to as DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Immigrants) is unknown.

Global warming is not a fiction.

Aging is not going away.

Intolerable racial disparities continue to be pervasive

And we simply do not know what will unfold in the next four years.

But there are some things we do know.

This election’s outcome may have left us divided, but it cannot take from us:

Our Time,

Our Trust for Each Other

Our Vast Individual and Collective Talents

Our Ability To Learn from Each Other,

Our Willingness to Accept Help from Each Other

Our Commitment to Reach Out to Others

Our Capacity to Create Together

Our Commitment to Core Values

Our Decision to Determine What We Value and How We Value

Our Ability to Create an Economy

that Rewards Decency, Caring and Efforts to Advance Social Justice,

Democracy is not a spectator sport. Life is not a Spectator Sport.

We are here to be all that we can be – individually and collectively

And we are needed now, more than ever.

What we know is this: an hour will remain an hour

And it will remain within our power to use TimeBanking to forge networks of hope, of caring, of mutual support and reliance.

As powerful as TimeBanking is, it is still largely unknown.

If ever there was a time to rediscover what it means to be a member of the human family, to reach out to each other, to rebuild trust, to strengthen networks and support systems, to amplify the voices of the disenfranchised, and to stand as trustees of democracy and of this planet for future generations,

It is Now.

In this spirit, I ask for your support – monetary and personal – to affirm the values we share, and to expand the reach of TimeBanking at this moment in our personal and our nation’s journey. We have the collective power to reclaim our core values by building networks of support and trust, empathy and commitment.

Let’s make 2017 the year when TimeBanking goes viral.

Can you make a donation now to support our efforts to get the word out?
